What is a session like?

The sessions are relaxed and fun! It’s more like a play date for you and your kids than the torture portrait sessions of the past. It is very important to me that eveyone enjoys their portrait experience! Children’s sessions are all about fun and capturing the essence of your child. I love to capture the interaction and natural poses during family sessions. Senior sessions allow a range of possiblities with unlimited locations and clothing changes during the session time. We will talk all about what your needs and wants are and create the perfect session just for you!

How far in advance should I schedule a session?

Sessions are typically booked three to four weeks in advance but this can be even more during the peak seasons. If you have a timeframe in mind for your portraits it is best to call a couple months in advance to assure that the dates you’d like are available.

Do you do sessions on the weekend or on holidays?

Weekend sessions are available for Sunday. Saturday sessions are available on a very limited basis. Holiday sessions are not available.

What time of day are sessions held?

Because all sessions are shot using available light it is preferable to schedule sessions in the later part of the evening, approximately one to two hours before sunset. We do understand that this does not always work out with little ones and their bed times so we will discuss what time will work the best for you while scheduling your session.

Where should we do our session?

We will talk about what your vision is for the the session during our pre-session consultation and I can make suggestions for a location, whether it be in and around your home or at a local outdoor setting.

What do we wear?!

Upon booking your session you will receive a complete guide on what to wear for your session along with a list of my favorite places to shop! If you still don’t really know what to wear after looking through the guide give me a call and we can do some virtual shopping together or I can come over and help you choose the outfits. If you really don’t want to choose all by yourself custom styling is available in which I will do all the work to find the outfits and then send you the links to purchase them.

How do I get on the schedule?

Just call! We will talk about what you have in mind for your session and then schedule 3 appointments. The first appointment, the Pre-Session Consultation, will be scheduled for approximately 1 week prior to your session to discuss and finalize all of the session details. The second session will be your portrait session where we will have a great time and create gorgeous images! The third session is your Custom Design and Ordering Session where you will view and order your custom portraits, albums and frames. The session fee will be collected by credit card at the time of scheduling your session and is non-refundable. All sessions are non-refundable but the retainer may be applied to one rescheduled session if a reschedule is needed when 48 hours advance notice is given. We understand that children sometimes get sick and are happy to reschedule your session due to illness. Sessions cannot be confirmed until the session retainer is received.

Idaho State Sales Tax of 6% will be added to all orders.
